You Can't Be What You Can't See: Confidence in the music industry

3 Nov 2016, 6:30pm - 8:00pm

You Can’t Be What You Can’t See.  Confidence is one of the main factors behind the lack of diversity and creative output within many areas of the music community.

Inspired by Music Victoria’s women’s music industry advisory panel and a first for Darebin Music Feast, Music Victoria has put together a stellar panel featuring heavyweights within contemporary music and media to unpack and address confidence issues.  In an open and candid environment, the panel will tell stories of pathways to success and provide insights into gaining confidence, being an ace public speaker and ‘cutting through’.  You Can’t Be What You Can’t See is a rare opportunity to gain insights and tips of the trade from those who know.

Moderated by:
Jacinta Parsons / Double JTriple R - 3RRR 102.7FM

Namila Benson / ABC
Meriki Hood / DJ MISS HOOD
Caroline Kennedy / Academic, Caroline No
Karina Utomo / High Tension

The discussion hopes to inspire creative people to look within – to sharpen their pitch, take a step into the spotlight and realise their potential.

The rest of Darebin Music Feasts program will launch online on 21 September:
