APRA Music Awards songwriters and publishers that have achieved success in their fields the chance to be honoured before their peers.

Spread across 12 categories, the nominations and winners in each category are chosen either by the voting members of APRA (in excess of 30,000 eligible voters), members of the APRA Board or APRA based data.

The aim of the Generations in Jazz Vocal Scholarship is to further the career of the successful jazz vocalist. The winner will receive $5,000 to assist in the development of their careers.

The Deadlys showcases the outstanding achievement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.

The James Morrison Jazz Scholarship is open to solo instrumentalists with the winner receiving $10,000 to assist in the development of their career.
