Nominees announced for the public-voted The Age Music Victoria Awards 2014

17 Oct 2014

The nominees for the publicly-voted The Age Music Victoria Awards 2014 were announced last night at an industry event at The Age Media House.

The announcement of the nominees for the publicly voted The Age Music Victoria Awards came after the presentation of the 11 specialist genre awards. The winners of the public-voted categories will be announced along with the induction of Daddy Cool and the late music journalist Ed Nimmervoll to the Age Music Victoria Hall of Fame at a sold-out event at 170 Russell on Wednesday 19th November.

Dave Houchin, Triple R Station Manager and presenting partner of The Age Music Victoria Awards 2014 said, “3RRR 102.7FM is very proud to be presenting The Age Music Victoria Awards once again in 2014. The event falling within the timing of Melbourne Music Week and Daddy Cool's induction into the hall of fame will create a fitting occasion to proudly celebrate Victoria's diverse music culture.”

Voting for the public awards is now open online at theage.com.au/agemusicvictoriaawards until Friday 14th November.

In recognition of all the artists’ contribution to Victorian music, all winners in the public Awards will receive a 10 hour recording package at Bakehouse Studios.

The Age Music Victoria Awards are the largest publicly voted awards in Australia with an average of 80,000 votes, and the awards continue their long association with the musicians’ charity Support Act Limited, donating $5 from each ticket to the organisation.

Vote now for your favourite Victorian artists, songs, festivals, and venues!
