National Reconciliation Week  runs May 27 – June 3 this year, and we're thrilled to be able to present a list of all the great music events happening in support and solidarity.

Children's Ground: Make a Change
The Melba Spiegel Tent, Collingwood

Join Children's Ground at the Melba Spiegeltent to "Make a Change" in 2018. Stand with Australia's First Nations communities who rise every day to create a better future for their children and families. Inspired by the dynamic and talented Black Rock Band and their new song Struggle, this will be a night for all generations. Share in the journey of Arrernte Elders who are leading the way for the next generation of children in Central Australia and the young Bininj men from the Black Rock Band (Kakadu West Arnhem) who have emerged as champions for social justice, navigating their own personal challenges to bring about change for their communities.

Aboriginal singer-songwriter Kutcha Edwards will be joined by host Neda Rahmani to discuss what it takes to write music that inspires, connects and endures in a special Reconciliation Week event.

The Black Rock Band are rising rockstars out of remote West Arnhem Land from the Northern Territory, producing a unique rock fusion of traditional and contemporary music. They are ready to make a splash worldwide.

St Kilda Library, St Kilda

Luke Captain Meriam Le from Murray Island in the Eastern Group of the Torres Strait Islands. He is cultural advisor, singer song writer, film maker and actor and strong advocate for Torres Strait Island inclusion. His songs reflect his home and zogo – spirit of his ancestors. Join us for a musical performance to celebrate National Reconciliation Week.

The Long Walk
Federation Square, Melbourne

Join thousands of people in a march for reconciliation from Federation Square to the MCG. Hosted by Michael Long, the Long Walk Foundation and the AFL. Meet at Federation Square, Melbourne for stalls and performances, before proceeding on a walk to the MCG.
