In addition to the support announced last week, the Victorian Government has announced new support to bolster communities and businesses most impacted by the ongoing restrictions.
Victorian businesses and sole traders will now share up to $484.2 million in support for the 12 days of lockdown, an increase of $282.5 million. Automatic top-ups will be made in the coming days.
Eligible Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund recipients will receive $4,200, increasing the total payment to $7,200. Eligible Business Costs Assistance Program recipients will receive an additional $2,800, taking the total payment to $4,800.
Eligible businesses that had previously not applied for these grants are welcome to apply for July lockdown support payments.
After discussions with the Commonwealth Government, it has been confirmed that the vast majority of micro-businesses not registered for GST will be eligible for the Covid-19 Disaster Payment of $600/$375 per seven-day period. The Victorian Government will establish a service to aid businesses in accessing this support.
Eligible public events and public events suppliers will receive support of $25,000 and $10,000 respectively through an extension of the Impacted Public Events Support Program.
The next round of the Live Performance Support program will offer funding of up to $7,000 for presenters and up to $2,000 for suppliers. More information on this is to be announced soon.
