On Monday, 19th of July, City of Yarra is staging an Industry Day in appreciation of the work that musicians, small businesses, and freelancers do to keep the live music sector playing.

This free event will be catered by Le Bon Ton and Young Henrys, and will feature a Qi Gong session with Rich Moffat.

SESSION 1: ROAD TO RECOVERY: Updates from the industry

Our CEO, Simone Schinkel, will be moderating a panel that will unpack the COVID-19 issues of the day, including navigating funding opportunities, understanding current restrictions, and ongoing advocacy work taking place behind the scenes.

SESSION 2: ROAD TO RECOVERY: Staging events outdoors

Hear City of Yarra’s Events, Outdoor Dining and Compliance officers in conversation with event producers to highlight opportunities and demystify hurdles in staging events in outdoor spaces.

SESSION 3.1: TAX, GRANTS, RIGHTS, ADVICE – all your questions answered

Moderated by Music Victoria board member Chelsea Wilson, the panel of music specialists will explore everything from super entitlement, contracting, partnerships, insurance, publishing, royalties, tax and more.

The Leaps and Bounds Industry Day is for the industry, so get on down and enjoy the event!
