This is a panel discussion is based on Multicultural Arts Victoria’s campaign #DiversifyYourArts with a music industry lens supporting any music industry professionals in applying this knowledge to their practice. This panel discussion will focus on diversifying rosters (relevant to labels, managers, A&R, booking agents) and programming (relevant to venue staff, broadcasters, festival and event programmers)... followed by an intimate performance by panellist Gordon Koang!
The panellists share varied and established expertise in music, programming and supporting cultures. The panel discussion will provide tools to the audience in knowing where to discover diverse acts, resources to connect with new communities, and understanding the importance and value of diversity to their business, our community and the music industry at large.
You will hear from Gordon Koang (Artist on Music In Exile label), Pilar Aguilera (3CR - Chairperson), Neil Morris (Broadcaster - Still Here program on Triple R), Artist - DRMNGNOW), Syrene Favero (Artist), Veronica Pardo (CEO - Multicultural Arts Victoria), and Joel Ma (Artist) will facilitate the discussion.
