How Live Streaming Is Evolving

December 3, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm UTC+11

A panel of live streaming pioneers will discuss how live streaming has evolved, and needs to evolve in future.

Live streaming has been the only live music and performance solution for Victorian musicians in lockdown during 2020. Its main purpose was to maintain a presence of live music in hard times, which certainly helped us all at one point! In what was an admirable adaptation by the music community, this also shifted our expectations of production quality. In a COVID-normal world, how can we maintain a place for live streaming when we also have the opportunity to go out to live shows too? How does the production and strategy need to evolve in order to reinforce and propel all the great developments that live streaming provided this year? Furthermore, what new opportunities exist for artists who are able to successfully tap into live streaming as a performance outlet?

We have a panel of pioneers on this topic to explore these questions and many more, as well as any you might have, too. You'll hear from:

Hugo Dean - Bolster

Emily Ulman - Isol-Aid

Eilish Gilligan - Artist

John Hall - Audio Engineer, 8th Day Sound

Hope to see you there! Please register here for this event, and you'll receive Zoom details via email prior to the event.
