Victorian Music Industry Recovery Program Grants Session: First Peoples

October 15, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm UTC+11

This grants session will provide a detailed overview of this grant stream and a discussion to support First Peoples applicants.

The Victorian Music Industry Recovery Program offers grants to Victorian-based contemporary music industry artists, workers, businesses and organisations who have been impacted by COVID-19, and will help the industry respond to the changing market and restricted environment.

In partnership with Songlines Music Aboriginal Corporation, this session will feature Rochelle Duke and Kylie Belling from the Creative Victoria grants team to provide a detailed overview of Stream 1 for First Peoples applicants. Joining them on the panel will be:

Kiernan Ironfield – a Dharug man, self taught Yidaki player, performing artist and Co-CEO at Songlines Music Aboriginal Corporation.

Paul Gorrie – a Gunai/Kurnai & Yorta Yorta man, DJ, filmmaker and Assistant Music Producer at Rising Festival, and a board member of Songlines Music Aboriginal Corporation.

Please register for this event to join us on Zoom. The link to join will be emailed directly to you prior to the session.

If you already have some questions that you would like the panel to answer, you can submit them in advance to info@musicvictoria.com.au prior to the session. Otherwise, there will be opportunities for live Q&A during the session.
