The Victorian Government has advised that the lockdown will be lifted state-wide from 11:59pm tonight. However, a range of restrictions remain in place for venues.

Entertainment and Leisure venues:

  • Indoor fixed seated entertainment: Open up to a maximum of 100 people per space.
  • Outdoor fixed seated entertainment: Open up to a maximum of 300 people per outdoor space.
  • Indoor non-seated entertainment venues: Open to a maximum of 100 people per space.
  • Outdoor non-seated venues: Open to a maximum of 300 people per space.
  • Karaoke and Nightclubs: Open for seated service, to a maximum of 100 people per venue. Dance floors not permitted.

All the above venues have a group limit of 10 people. A density quotient of 1 person per 4 sqm applies in non-seated areas. COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check-in.

Hospitality venues:

  • Food and drink facilities: Open for seated service only with a maximum patron cap of 100 per venue. Group limit of 10. A density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies. A venue smaller than 100sqm can have up to 25 people per venue before the density quotient applies. COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check-in. Dance floors closed.

Creative Studios are open with a maximum patron cap of 100 people indoors and 300 people outdoors. Groups are limited to 10 people. Ad ensity quotient of 1 person per 4sqm applies, and COVID Check-in Marshals must ensure attendees check in.

The Authorised Worker List will no longer apply, and offices will be able to return to up to 25 percent capacity or 10 people, whichever is greater. Masks will continue to be required everywhere indoors and outdoors (except private residences), unless an exception applies.
