Today, the Victorian Government announced an Economic Survival Package To Support Businesses And Jobs.
Music Victoria is happy that the State Government has addressed some of the urgent needs of the live music venue sector with relief on payroll tax and liquor licensing fees and financial support for businesses and workers.
We endorse the Premier’s call for commercial landlords to exercise compassion and understanding during this difficult time for venues.
We look forward to working with the state government to ensure the new Business Support Fund and Working for Victoria Fund provide necessary assistance to music industry workers and businesses.
And we hope the Federal Government address the national industry’s needs in Sunday’s financial support package.
