"The 9th Annual Aireys Inlet Open Mic Music Festival was run on March 18-20 2016. The festival presented over 140 performances covering many genres of music and types of act. From full rock bands to solo acoustic acts on 9 stages over 3 days. Annual attendance is estimated at over 5000 and each year we have a Special Mystery Guest to close the festival. Colin Hay, Dan Sultan, Tim Rogers, Mark Seymour and The Hoodoo Gurus have all been past SMG's. In 2016 it was the Rockwiz Orkestra with Ella Hooper and Vika and Linda Bull out front."
