Music Victoria would like to thank everyone who joined us at the AGM last night and to all members who participated in this year’s Board election. We had an outstanding group of nominees, and we are grateful to each person who put their hand up to serve.
We also congratulate Craig Lloyd, Dean Hampson and Latoyah Forsyth, who have all been reappointed to the Board. Their dedication and expertise continue to be invaluable to Music Victoria.
We are also very pleased to share that Jim Kenyon has been appointed as the new Chairperson of Music Victoria and we're excited about what he will bring to the role as we move into this next phase.
There are two further appointed Board positions to be filled. These appointments will be made by the Board over the coming month, and we will share an update once finalised.
We extend our deepest thanks to Chris O’Neill, who has stepped down after serving the maximum nine years on the Board, the past two years as Chairperson and previously as Deputy Chair. Chris has been an extraordinary leader for the organisation and an unwavering advocate for the Victorian music community. His thoughtful, strategic and generous stewardship has helped guide Music Victoria through some of its most challenging periods, and we are profoundly grateful for his service.
We also acknowledge and thank Nkechi Anele and Thane Garvey-Gannaway, who concluded their Board terms at the AGM. Their contributions, insight and commitment have played a meaningful role in shaping the organisation, and we appreciate the time and energy they have given to Music Victoria.
Once again, thank you to all nominees... it was truly a stellar group... and to every member who cast a vote. Your participation strengthens Music Victoria and ensures the organisation continues to be driven by the community it represents.
