Damien Charles
Damien Charles is a consummate music producer and sound engineer who has worked with Grammy Award winning artist Gotye (Wally de Backer), and Grammy Award nominees Hiatus Kaiyote. He managed, produced, engineered and performed in the dub group The Red Eyes, a band that helped to invigorate the Melbourne music scene and has worked as a sound engineer for many acclaimed musical groups.
From The Cat Empire to Gurrumul, Sneaky Sound System to Blue King Brown, Husky to Tijuana Cartel, Kaki King to Secret Chiefs 3, The Basics to Hiatus Kaiyote, the breadth of Damien’s experience is astonishing.
He is currently working out of Ghost Oak Studio Castlemaine, in Victoria’s goldfields, and is one half of cinematic pop musical group Coda Chroma.
