The Taranta Festival aims to celebrate Italian music and dance with a particular focus on contemporary folk music.
The festival’s objective is to diffuse Italian and Mediterranean culture and to create a platform for Italian artists in Australia to collaborate with other artists from diverse communities, nationally and internationally.
Conferences, workshops and artistic collaborations will stimulate a trans-cultural dialogue, create a better understanding of Italian contemporary culture and establish new connections with other local migrant communities
