Music Victoria nominated for two industry awards

Music Victoria has been announced as a finalist for two industry awards this month.

Music Victoria is proud to be in the running for the Best Global Music Office in the Music Cities Awards.

The Music Cities Awards is a global competition designed to acknowledge and reward the most outstanding applications of music for economic, social, environmental and cultural development in cities and places all around the world.

The awards also aim to promote best practice and demonstrate the value of music to the world. We've been nominated alongside Auckland UNESCO City of Music and the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts, and Culture.

Music Victoria is recognised for recent initiatives including the Regional Music Development Program, the “No QR, no entry” campaign delivered in conjunction with Save Our Scene, and the Victoria Together Commissioning Program which I produced thanks to funding support from Creative Victoria.

The winner will be announced on November 10th. RSVP to the ceremony here.

The 2020 Music Victoria Awards has also been announced as a finalist in the Arts and Events category of the Melbourne Awards.

Now in its 19th year, the Melbourne Awards are the City of Melbourne’s highest accolade, celebrating the inspirational Melburnians who dedicate their time and energy to making this city a world leader.
