As part of the lead up to Live at Warrawee, Monash Council is delivering a series of industry workshops in partnership with Music Victoria and some of our artists.
Local musicians can learn more about how to get into the industry, how to connect to markets and performance workshops with two of our artists performing at Live at Warrawee - THNDO and Women of Soul.
These workshops are supported by the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria’s On the Road Again initiative, designed to bring back local live music events.
Attendees must be 15 years or older, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to attend.
Essential for the self-managed artist, run by Chelsea Wilson and Linda Catalano (Women of Soul Collective, this workshop discusses goal setting, developing a strategy for your tours and releases, time management, creating your ‘team’ and much more.
Come learn about some of the different revenue streams for artists.
Dale Packard (Music Victoria) and Glen Barrie (APRA AMCOS) shine a light on publishing, royalties, and how to apply for grants and funding.

Music workshop on release and promotional strategies from recording, publishing and promoting your music. The workshop will be how to write a biography, update social media channels to align with brand, how to write a press release and how to create a release timeline.
The final 20 minutes of the workshop will be an in conversation with a guest artist where we'll share our insights on navigating the Australian music industry as signed and unsigned artists.
